Welcome to Overton Grange School.

At Overton Grange School we strive to ensure that every child matters. We work hard to build successful working relationships with our students and their families to ensure that every student has the opportunity to meet their full potential, whatever their starting point and whatever their strengths and interests. This means educating the whole child and giving them the skills to take the next steps on their journey when they leave us to attend further education or training, and then into the right career.

We are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum in an environment that is stimulating, supportive and academically stretching, and which also develops the whole person through a wide range of opportunities and activities. We aim to instill a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation that knowledge is worthwhile in itself. We are also incredibly proud of the opportunities that our talented, dedicated and expert staff provide for our young people through our extracurricular activities.

We have high expectations of our students and expect them to behave in a compassionate and respectful manner, and to actively engage in their learning throughout the whole school day. In this way all the school community works together to create a calm and ordered environment where every individual student can thrive. We aim to develop our students’ awareness of the wider community, to engage positively with the world outside of the school walls, and to develop as global citizens.

We also understand the importance of emotional health and well-being and work with our students to give them the tools to build their own mental and physical health and well-being.

Having been a teacher at Overton Grange School for twenty years. I feel privileged to now be the Headteacher of the school that I love. No school is perfect - we don’t always get it right, just as you may not always get it right as parents, but my aim as Headteacher is to ensure that all our students have the opportunity to achieve their very best, to be inspired, and to be proud and upstanding members of the school and wider community. I hope that we can all work together over the coming year to help your child on their path to success.
