The tournament - taking place on Friday June 6th - consists of teams from 10 finalist schools, who will go head-to-head in an attempt to take the victory.

The OG3v3 Team began as one of 315 teams in the starting pool, with their first game being in a local event between nearby schools. Overton Grange hosted the match, and with the strength of playing on home turf, the team pulled through with their first win of many.

The OG3v3 Team then represented Sutton in the London Borough competition and won against various boroughs such as Lambeth and Westminster, landing their place in the Semi-Finals. After 10 minutes of sedulous play, the score sat at a nail biting tie, and a sudden death was declared.

Overton Grange 3-point shooter, Joseph, scored the winning 2 points that heralded the team victorious. In their latest match on the 14th May, a comfortable win secured the team’s place at the June 6th Finals. When speaking to the team, they reported feeling ready and raring to face the competition at Trafalgar Square. Good Luck team!!

In celebration of the team’s achievements, Overton Grange Creative Academy produced a brief promo video to establish the team, its players and their coach, Mrs Eggleton. With a diligent effort from OG6 Students Olivia and Lukas - who filmed and independently edited the videos - the end result is captivating.
