Outstanding GCSE results!

We celebrated another fantastic set of GCSE exam results today with a large number staying on to study A levels in the sixth form.

This cohort have had to demonstrate resilience and perseverance throughout their time in secondary school, including managing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic earlier in their education,” said Overton Grange headteacher, Chris McNab.

This year students have exceeded expectations, with 70% of securing GCSE passes across all subject areas which has allowed them to successfully take the next step

Outstanding performances include, Heliam Fan, who is the highest attaining student across the whole school.

She has achieved 10 GCSEs in biology (9), business studies (9), chemistry (9), citizenship (9) English language (8), English literature (8), maths (9), physics (9), RE (9) and Spanish (7).

Heliam’s outstanding academic performance places her among the highest achievers in the school's history. With a suite of top grades across all subjects, Heliam has demonstrated not only academic excellence but also unwavering dedication, focus, and a passion for learning that has impressed both staff and peers alike.

Also achieving high GCSE grades is Shamak Das. He got biology (9), chemistry (9), citizenship (9), English language (9), English literature (9), geography (9), German (6), maths (9), media studies (7), physics (9) and RE (9).

Jeevan Hatti also scored top marks in his GCSE exams. Biology (9), business studies (9), chemistry (9), citizenship (9), English language (8), English literature (8), French (7), geography (9), maths (9), physics (9) and RE (8).

Enakshit Mukherji achieved high GCSE grades. Biology (9), chemistry (8), citizenship (8), English language (9), English literature (9), history (9), maths (8), media studies (8), physics (9), RE (9), and BTEC Level 2 Health and Social Care (Distinction).

And another top achiever is Siddarth Vinoth Kumar, who received GSCE art (9), biology (8), business studies (8), chemistry (9), citizenship (8), English language (9), English literature (9), history (9), maths (9), physics (8) and RE (7).

Ukrainian born Anastasia Rasaci, achieved 8 GCSE's all at Grades 9-4. Anastasia moved to the UK in 2021 and has worked incredibly hard and has benefitted from the tailored support for students learning English as an additional language.
