Record-breaking results!

Overton Grange School A-level students are celebrating record breaking exam results today with a 97.4% overall pass rate.

This year sees the continuation of the school’s history of high pass rates with 78% of students achieving an A*- C grade.

The school is celebrating 100% high grade achievement across a broad mix of subjects resulting in 22% of students achieving A*- A grades.

This has resulted in the highest number of students moving on to university and apprenticeships, with over 10% of students going on to study at the prestigious Russell Group Universities.

Chris McNab, headteacher at the school said: “At Overton Grange we are immensely proud of our students’ achievements this year. Their A-level results reflect not only their hard work and resilience, but also the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of families.

“These exceptional results will allow our students to progress on to the exciting next step in their career, opening exciting doors for our young people… whether that’s at university, through apprenticeships, or in the world of work.”

There were many outstanding individual performances including top performers in maths and physics: Charlie Dennington (biology, maths, further maths and physics A*, A, A, C) who is going to study physics at Manchester university.

Arsen Asryna, (economics, business, maths and further maths A*, A*, A, B) who is going to study maths at Warwick university.
